Three pieces, one live picture

Telestrator Live is one system with three screens. You drive Control; it feeds the Audience Output; the pastor annotates it from the Draw App. Anything anyone does shows up on the big screen instantly.

Quick start — on screen in five minutes

1. Open app.telestrator.live and sign in. Your free trial starts automatically.
2. Drag your graphics and videos into a section on the page (or click to choose). They upload as you drop them.
3. Click Send to Display to throw the audience screen onto your projector, full screen.
4. Tap any graphic to put it live. It's on the big screen — that's it.
5. Optional: Settings → Show pairing code, then scan it in the iPad app to hand the pastor a draw pad.

01 The cloud app

Control — the booth

Control is the only screen you touch during a service. It runs in any modern browser and stays in sync with the audience screen and every draw pad in real time.

Signing in & your subscription

• Sign in with your email and password at app.telestrator.live. There's nothing to install.
• Your free trial runs the moment you sign up. When it ends, a banner appears — subscribe from there, or under Settings.
• Already subscribed? Settings → Manage billing opens your receipts, card, and plan.

The control strip (top bar)

The dark bar across the top is your live console. A green dot on Connected means everything is in sync.

Graphics & sections

Your graphics live in sections — think "Sermon slides", "Announcements", "Songs". Each graphic is a tile.

• Go live: tap any tile to put it on the audience screen. The live tile glows orange — that's your only "what's live" indicator, so it's always obvious.
• Add media: drag image or video files anywhere onto a section to upload them, or use the Drag & drop media here row to pick files.
• Organize: drag tiles to reorder, or drag them between sections. Click a section's title to rename it, collapse it with ▾, or make a new one with ＋ Add section.

Every tile carries three little buttons:

Slides — text over your graphics

The Slides card builds a deck of text (verses, points, lyrics) that all sit on one shared background graphic.

1. Pick the backdrop: on any graphic, click the button to make it the slides' background.
2. Add a line: type a verse in the box and press Enter. Repeat for each slide — or hit ＋ Add Multiple Slides and paste a whole batch (leave a blank line between each one).
3. Restyle: click ✎ on a slide for the type panel — font, size, weight, spacing, color, alignment, an outline, a shadow or scrim. Drag the text to reposition it, or hit ⌖ Center.
4. Go through them live: click a slide, or step with ◀ Prev / Next ▶. Clear takes the text back off.

The On Air mirror & Zoom

• The On Air box on the right is a live mirror of the audience screen — graphic, video, slide text and the pastor's ink, all of it.
• The Zoom slider zooms into the live image so a detail fills the screen (images only, not video). Then drag the mirror to pan around inside the zoom.
• Zoom and pan you do here also reflect on the pastor's draw pad, so you're both looking at the same frame.

Pen colors & videos

• Pen colors: the five swatches under Zoom are the pastor's palette. Change any of them and every draw pad updates live — set them to match your service's look.
• Videos: when a video is live you get Play / Pause, ⟲ Restart, and ⟳ Loop (replay on end). Position stays in sync with the audience screen.

Settings

The Settings button (top right) holds everything you set up once and forget:

• Connect the pastor's iPad — Show pairing code (a QR + a 6-character code).
• Browser draw-pad backup — Open draw screen in a browser, or Share link to text / email / AirDrop it to an iPad. (See Part 03.)
• Output & draw screen size — 16:9 is the default; portrait, square and custom sizes are there for unusual screens. The draw pad matches whatever you pick.
• Manage billing and Sign out.

Keyboard shortcuts

Once graphics are up, keep your hands on the keyboard. (They pause while you're typing in a slide.)

02 The big screen

The Audience Output

This is the picture the congregation actually sees — the live graphic or video, the current slide text, and the pastor's ink on top, moving with your fades and cuts. It has no controls of its own; you drive all of it from Control.

Getting it onto the projector

Two ways, both from Control's top bar — pick whichever fits your setup:

Full screen ⇄ window

• A small ⛶ button toggles the output between full screen and a movable window.
• In full screen the button hides for a clean picture — move your mouse to the top edge to bring it back, then click ⛶ to drop back to a window (and move it where you want).
• Full screen also hides the computer's menu bar and browser chrome, so the audience only ever sees your graphics.

Streaming & recording

Because the output is just a web page, it doubles as a clean source for your stream. Point a browser source in OBS (or similar) at the output window and you'll capture the graphics, slides and ink with no operator controls in shot.

The Draw App

This is how the pastor draws over the graphics live — circling a word, underlining a verse, highlighting a point — with it appearing on the big screen the instant the pen moves. Use the free iPad app, or any browser as a backup.

Two ways to draw

Connecting the iPad app

1. In Control, open Settings → Show pairing code.
2. On the iPad, open Telestrator Draw and either scan the QR or type the 6-character code.
3. That's it — the pad connects to your service. There's no account to sign into on the iPad.

Using a browser instead (backup)

In Settings, under "No app? Open the draw pad in a browser":

• Open draw screen — opens the pad right here in a new browser tab.
• Share link — pops your device's share sheet so you can text, email or AirDrop the link straight to the iPad. Open it there and start drawing — no install, no login.

The draw tools

Whichever way you connect, the pad shows the live graphic full-screen with a tidy toolbar along the bottom:

Pencil or finger

• ✎ Pencil is the default and stays highlighted. Only the Apple Pencil draws — so the pastor can rest a hand on the screen and use two fingers to pan a zoomed image without leaving a mark.
• Tap that button and it switches to ✋ Touch — now a finger draws too. Tap again to go back. The pad remembers the choice.

Zoom & video on the pad

• When an image is live, a zoom slider appears down the right side. The pastor can zoom into a detail themselves; two fingers pan around it. (It's hidden when there's nothing to zoom.)
• For videos, a Freeze / Play button lets the pastor pause the clip to draw on a still frame, then let it run again.
